Cadre Crews Taking Action: Actors and light crew members block the stage. Actors are reading through the script, figuring out where they should be at a specific line, while the light crew is installing lights and directing them on where they should shine at a specific time. Lead actor Camila Haro states, “Blocking has been very exciting and eventful. It’s making me look forward to the final production.”
This week, Cadre is beginning to block for the play, Into the Woods. Blocking is where actors go through the script and write down where they should move on the stage at a specific line. The tech crew is beginning their big projects like setting the set and making the significant props. The designing of costumes, the setting up of lighting, and the preparation of music are all being done by the other crews, such as the costume, light, and sound crews, during this time as well.
