Tuesday, April 14, marked the beginning of EOC testing. Those enrolled in courses such as English l, English ll, U.S. History, and Algebra l, will be participating in the exam. Students all across all grade levels have started preparing for the STAAR EOC exams, such as implementing weekly IXL practice, consistently rewinding and strengthening key skills ahead of testing. Teachers have also been incorporating targeted review activities, and practice exams. These combined efforts are expected to have a positive impact on student performance during these weeks of testing.
Test Ready: Junior Marlin Cueva studies for the US History STAAR EOC using the Texas Assessment practice test website outside during advisory time. With EOC coming up, she brought it on herself to work for a higher score. “You have to keep your discipline because it all depends on you. Teachers are not bothering you with it. So if you want a good grade, you have to be disciplined with it.”
