Alief ISD Trustee Election November 8

Five candidates are on the ballot for the November 8 Alief ISD trustee election:

For position 1, incumbent John P. Hansen is running against Kirk G. Dixon. Hansen has served on the Alief ISD Board of Trustees from November 1993 to the present; Dixon spent his school years in Alief, graduating from Elsik High School.

For position 2, incumbent Rick Moreno is unopposed.

For position 3, incumbent Ann Williams is running against Donald R. Love. Williams and Love are both active members of the Alief community. Williams has served on the board for three years.

    Trying to find anything about this election is like finding hen’s teeth. I have been a resident in the district for 5 years and cannot remember ever being able to find information for voting. Heck, I wasn’t sure if there was 3 or 8 slots in this election.
    Our son graduated from Hallettsville HS years ago.

      To be honest, we had trouble finding this information. Only one candidate had an email or website listed on the Harris County sample ballot.
