On February 13, the alphabet auction and pie-in-the-face event took place simultaneously in the cafeteria from 1:15 to 2:25. Students had the opportunity to bid on letters in order to have a picture placed in the yearbook with a caption that would begin with the letter they had chosen. In between a couple of the letters, students bid for the chance to pie staff members in the face, but with a catch: Staff members were allowed to outbid a student in order to pie them instead. Overall, the highest bid reached $100, raising significant money for the yearbook.

Bidding for More: Michelle Takie (10) and Eliana Perez (10) are attempting to bid for a letter. With the minimum bid set at 10 dollars, she was unable to meet the required increase in the letters. “I wanted to bid, but I only had 10 dollars on me at the time,” Takie said.
