Mind Over Matter! Alief Mental Health Counselor Marilyn Amador, LPC-S, NCC, and Alief Mental Health Liaison Leisha Campbell, LPC-S, served as guest speakers for the Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy’s Mental Health Workshop. Arriving early to prepare, they set the stage for an engaging session. “Let’s get started on this exciting meeting!” Amador said.
On Saturday, May 3, 2025, the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy hosted its Mind Over Matter passion project at the Alief Center from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The event featured two guest speakers who discussed mental health and was open to both academy members and other local teenagers at the park. Attendees received goodie bags, Chick-fil-A food boxes, soda, candy, and additional giveaways. The event was part of the academy’s annual community service initiative.
