Band Regaining Momentum

Every student is attentive, their gaze fixed as they absorb the teacher’s words. “Learning opens doors,” says Nifemi Oladesu.

After the big UIL competition, the band is back to their usual practice schedule. They’re relieved and proud after all of their hard work. Everyone is excited to get back to playing their instruments. Even though the competition is still fresh in their memories, they are determined to improve.

Reading the Lines As seen in the picture, Shirley Doan is studying and reading the lines of a practice exam. As she is a junior who took APUSH, she was preparing for her history exam. I hope I do good since the passing grade is quite low, Doan said.
