A: It’s been quite hectic. Although I significantly have less work, I still have a lot of responsibilities to maintain, such as completing my college applications on time (which I haven’t been the best at) and fulfilling my role as an officer of NAHS.

Q: How do you feel about the pending college season?

I’m very anxious about college season at the moment, as I’m still in the process of completing a few of my college applications. Nonetheless, I’m hoping to stay optimistic about my capabilities and wish for the best for all my friends who are in the same situation as me.

Q: Name one thing that stood out to you during this school year.

A: One thing that stood out to me the most this year was being a senior and having to graduate, meaning that I have to say goodbye to all my beloved friends and become an adult soon.

Q: What are some of your favorite memories from this year?

A: Seeing one of my favorite bands, Wave to Earth, in person with a few of my close friends was one of my favorite memories this year. I’ve been listening to this particular band since I was a sophomore, and I was ecstatic to hear that they were having their first world tour and visiting Houston. This was the first time I’ve ever been to a sold-out concert that played live instruments and I was fortunate enough to get VIP tickets at the last minute, thanks to a close friend. I also surprised my other friend, who initially couldn’t go due to the concert being a sold-out show— with the general admission ticket that I desperately needed to sell as soon as possible.

Q: Is there anything you regret in 2023 in particular?

A: I regret not taking enough breaks and enjoying time by myself whenever I had the chance. I also regret forcing myself to study and unnecessarily finish homework late at night rather than going to bed.

Q:What is your plan for the upcoming new year?

A: I plan to finish my college applications, FASFA, and hopefully get a job or internship over the summer.

Q: What are some goals you want to meet before the end of this year?

A: Some goals I want to meet before the end of this year are to, of course, finish my college applications and FASFA.

Q: Have you achieved any of your New Year’s resolutions?

A: My new year’s resolution is to simply be happy with myself and my friends. With that being said, I have partially achieved my New Year’s resolution.

Q: How do you feel about this season?

A: I love and hate winter at the same time. I love the cold weather, but I have a poor immune system and I get sick easily because of the cold.
