Kerr Speech and Debate Prepares for Alief Early Tournament

Game Faces On Leah Ghebrulul, Raiyyan Khan, Shalom Akinkunmi, Victoria Pacheco, and Derek Davis write outlines for congressional speeches. They had a total of 14 speeches to prepare for the upcoming tournament. “Congress is only fun if you come prepared,” says Khan.

On Thursday, November 2, Speech and Debate members gathered in the Speech room after school to prepare for the Alief Early College tournament held at Elsik High School on November 3 and 4. World School debaters prepared outlines for their debate rounds held on Saturday, whilst Extempters practiced memorizing their sources for their rounds on Friday. In addition to this, Lincoln Douglas debaters work on perfecting their cases in seminar room 531. Lastly, officers worked together to complete a lib dub banner and prepare seminar room 334 for a fortune-telling booth fundraiser on Friday.
