Cheerful Smiles
Abigail Nguyen, Shalom Akinkunmi, Sarah Abi Saab, Leah Ghebrelul, Erica Carranza, Gabrielle Brown, Rebecca Oyeniyi, and Nyla Whiteside receive their letterman jackets at Speech and Debate’s Rush Meeting on August 21. Speech and Debate held their annual Rush Meeting this Monday to welcome new and interested students. Attendees gathered in the teacher’s lounge after school and enjoyed an abundance of snacks prepared by club officers. Students took part in a plethora of games and activities. After an informative presentation of this year’s theme, Ready to Rumble, all letterman jacket recipients were acknowledged by coach Derek Davis.
With their first competition of the year coming up on September 8 and 9, Speech and Debate is working hard to perform their best.
