Writers receive Scholastic Keys

Seven students who participated in Scholastic Writing contests won either gold or silver keys, making it the first year Kerr had 100 percent success. 

Senior Andres Valencia received a gold key for his short story “Dancing Shadows” and junior Diane Chau earned a gold key for her personal essay “Beautiful Scar.”

Three students received silver keys for their short stories; which includes senior Maithy Tran for “Feed” and juniors Nadia Zulfa for “The Possession” and Tuong-Phi Le for “Mending.”

Senior Ashti Zaidi received a silver key for her dramatic script, “The Archer” and junior Uyen Tran received a silver key for her poetry piece, “Mia, Lucy’s Folly.”
