For those who are planning to get ahead and graduate early or did not pass the exit-level TAKS test in the spring during the previous year, the exams are during the same week as finals, which are October 21 and 22.
“We have to change around our finals schedules so we can fit in the tests and our final exams together,” senior William W. says.
Also, for students who have transferred from private schools or schools that do not provide TAKS testing, which is needed in order to graduate in all Texas public schools, the fall TAKS testing schedule is a good option.
“I didn’t have the TAKS test at Southwest Christian Academy,” William W. explained. “We had this test called Standford, instead.”
