On December 8, paraprofessional Alma Lantos was named one of Alief ISD’s Support Staff MVPs for November.

Lantos was nominated by principal Vinson Lewis and was awarded the award by the district. The theme for November was Gratitude.

Interim superintendent Gina Thomas and Lewis as well as several staff and students had kind words to say about Lantos when she won the award. She was recognized in part for the inspirational messages she posts every day on the door to the front office.

Lantos referred to the award as her version as an Oscar.
