FBLA Celebrates Kerr’s Blue Ribbon Award
Circle designs with appreciation notes for Kerr students and teachers are taped to the candy wrapper. Mrs. Curry, FBLA’s advisor, purchased York Peppermint Patties in bulk for the event. “FBLA is so proud of Kerr getting a third Blue Ribbon award,” Casey Nguyen said. “To celebrate, we decided to give every single student and staff at Kerr a York Peppermint Patty.”
Future Business Leaders of America plans to celebrate Kerr’s recognition as a Blue Ribbon school by giving each student a York Peppermint Patties as well as a note of appreciation. They will distribute these treats to each advisor’s mailbox for the students. For teachers, FBLA is setting up Blue nachos and blue fruits in the teacher’s lounge during both lunches. The Blue Ribbon award is a huge honor and achievement for Kerr High School, and FBLA hopes to give a small token of thanks to everyone involved in making the school a better place.
