Davis and Montoya retire; Murphy joins staff
Paraprofessional Lee-Lindsay Bryant shows the new testing center clerk, Ebony Murphy around Kerr. “[I came to Kerr] because I heard it was a pretty good school.” Murphy said. “I wanted to come work in the district. This is the first school I’ve had the opportunity to work for.” Photo by Aja Bryant.

Two long-time Kerr staffers retired in January.
Testing center clerk Alice Davis and custodian Bonifacio Montoya were honored with a joint retirement reception on January 21.
Senior Scarlett C. helped librarian Jean Wu create a slide show with photos of the two through the years.
“I felt a little sad,” she said of Davis. “I’m going to miss her. [The testing center] is going to really quiet now.”
Ebony Murphy had her first day on the job as the new testing center clerk on February 5.
“First day went very smooth, nice teachers, nice students, y’all’ are pretty cool,” said Murphy. “The paperwork and the filing I pretty much know how to do with experience, but I’m getting trained right now with the process and procedures of the testing center.”
