College visit trips available for juniors and seniors

Kerr will be conducting seven college visit field trips for any interested juniors or seniors.

Students are allowed to apply up to two visits. However, applying will not guarantee  a spot; a rubric will be used to select the applicants who will be allowed to participate.

Applications are available in the counselor’s office or room 328. Completed applications are due to Diane Barrett in the counselor’ office by 11 AM on the deadline date for each particular tour. Complete a separate application for each requested field trip.

The players worked on their formations and teamwork, building up tension for the game ahead. The anticipation was high as everyone aimed to give their best performance on the field.

This is Halloween! Abigail Nguyen, Amen Moreda, and Leah Ghebrelul dress up for library contest. They portrayed characters from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie. "This wig is nappy," Ghebrelul said.
Students Dress Up for Halloween
A Trip For A Tip: Senior Jenny Nguyen hands back her permission form to College center paraprofessional Ruthie Griffins. After receiving the form, another form needs to be completed online through a QR code before shes good to go. “The online form is long but it should give us an idea of how many are going,” Griffins said.
Alief ISD Hosts College Fair and Scholarship Giveaway
One Step At A Time: Post-baccalaureate student Libbie Marie Ogilvie helps guide members as they carry out the test, telling them the steps one at a time. They conducted a catalase test on E.Coli. “It was my first time teaching others how to do the test, but they’re doing so good because they listen so well,” Ogilvie said
SNHS Hosts Young Biologist Program
Carrying The Load: Treasurer Jenny Luong and member Emely Vicente help by moving mulch to each newly planted tree. They planted trees across Alief’s Wilcrest block. “It was hard carrying the wheelbarrow but it was still fun,” Luong said.
