October is National Domestic/Dating Violence Awareness Month.

Some statistics show that over 3 million children witness violence in their home every year. Violence influence young children physically and emotionally everyday.

A seminar on the topic will be held at Alief YMCA on Monday, October 17. The conference will run from 6: 30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This event is free and open to everyone 14 and older.

The Alief YMCA center is located at 7850 Howell Sugar Land Road, Houston.
