FBLA flies into a new direction

October 12, 2011

Although the numbers of people who showed up during the second meeting was not as large as organizers expected, Future Business Leaders of America is ready for the next meeting Oct. 13.

This year, officers plan to base their meetings on an “around the world” theme in which they will focus on the business etiquette of a different country every time; eventually circling back to America.

And as always there will be food for those who choose to attend.

Pink lemonade! Aidan Le gives pink lemonade to Ava Drummond during lunch. The lemonade stand was free of charge to all students but donations were strongly encouraged. "It's a fun way to raise money for an important cause, I donated three dollars," Drummond said.

Getting A Taste of Culture: Latinx Association sponsor, Karen Orta, prepares Birria ramen orders. She brought and arranged all the materials for students to enjoy. “Filling out the orders was hectic but fun at the same time,” said Orta.

STUCO Celebrates National Custodian Day
A Wonderful Discovery: Maria Bongah, Aryan Shoaei, Alisha Rahman, and Iris Hoang-Dugan conduct experiment at Station 2. This station included activities such as swabbing different areas onto a petri dish, placing it into an incubator, and waiting for bacteria to grow. "Looking at the bacteria swabbed from the toilet that grew on the petri dish was kind of interesting," Rahman said.
SNHS Hosts Young Biologist Program
Orchestra Showcase: Orchestra students perform on stage at Taylor High School. They shared advice with Taylor students on improving their musical skills. “It was a rewarding experience to perform and inspire students at another school," Tony Luong said.
