Students receive letterman jackets

Letterman jackets. A sign of accomplishment. Finally earning something for all your hard work and dedication to your school.

Jackets were presented September 22 to students in the visual and performing arts. Students who received the jackets said earning one is a reward for their commitments.

“I think it is a pride,” said junior Jonathan V., who earned his in theatre arts.  “It represents how involved you are and shows your school spirit.”

Band member Carlos C. agreed.

“I feel honored, like I achieved something,”  he said.

Most organizations require students to earn points for competitions, participation and awards in order to qualify for a jacket.

“I was really excited when I received my letterman,” said senior Lucy P. “It took me two years to get it. This letterman represents my hard work in theatre.”
