Kerr’s band has started off the year with preparations for competition.
The band distributed uniforms for the fall concert this week. Also, students received their region music and began practicing for the All State Region contest in November.
Symphonic Band has been working over its first piece in sectionals. The entire band has been keeping music journals in which they write about new music they’ve never heard of and recently listened to.
New band director Ashley Siegrist said the band is working very hard and is ready for the rest of the school year.
