Two earn medals at Regional UIL competition

April 19, 2011

Two students earned medals at the Regional UIL Academic Competition, held April 17 at Sam Houston State University.

 Aja Bryant won fifth place in News Writing.

Joanna Arias took fourth place in Headline Writing.

A total of 14 Kerr students advanced to regional competition.

Following hard sectional training, the band gathered for a full ensemble session, where they improved their synchronization and togetherness as a whole. Getting that time to work together as a whole really helps us bond and perform at our best, Raiyyan Khan said.

Voices of Alief Hosted a Meeting
Sip and Type Erica Carranza, Sarah Abi Saab, Abigail Nguyen, and Leah Ghebrelul meet up at Kims Tea House afterschool on Tuesday to prepare for a mock round on Thursday. During their time there, they researched the impacts of AI on disinformation. Im not the biggest fan of this motion, but Im still excited, Nguyen said.
