Senior Ryan Nguyen and sophomore Janet Duong advertise STUCO’s “I Have A Dream” poster near the library. Student council members are allowed to write one fact about Martin Luther King Jr. to earn one point.

Even with harsh weather conditions, the Student Council does not fail to miss their celebrations and holidays. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is celebrated to honor his life and legacy but also to encourage volunteering to improve communities. The Student Council officers designed posters and decorated them around the school to spread his inspiring influence on all students. To honor his day, student council officers want their members to spread awareness of his achievements and the positive influences he has had on our community.
