Student Council Prepping for Action

We’re Ready! STUCO officers Thy Tran, Isabella Le, Kathy Do, Syed Raza, Kamie Le, and Huy Ngo await for their members to pick up their September point sheet. With activities ranging from “Throwback Summer,” to decorating coffee cup sleeves, the STUCO officers look forward to supervising and helping around with the events. “Something I look forward to the most during the month of September is our national suicide prevention and mental health awareness week. I believe it’s important to bring topics like this to light and let students know they are never alone!” -STUCO vice president Isabella Le

Student Council has prepared Point Sheets for the month of September and are ready for members to participate. STUCO’s upcoming general meeting is on September 12, and officers are excited to see their members engaged in all the fun activities they have planned. With their pride and patriotism, task, and community service opportunities, active members are able to join in on the fun and create new memories and experiences. Meanwhile, the officers have already begun Homecoming preparations by deciding themes for the special event.

Dat Nguyen, Haniyah Lutfi, and Alan Parra pose with their first, second, and third place trophies at City Qualifiers. All of these debaters were competing in varsity congress. "For my city qualifiers tournament, I found it very fun and unique from others. I think that CASE tournaments allowed for all the congressional debaters to bond with eachother, and so rather than feeling you did bad after rounds, you felt like you had a group supporting your back! Overall it was very fun," Nguyen said.

Heads in the Kahoots! Dylan Nguyen and Alexander Nguyen plan an intense Kahoot battle with their NTLB group. They worked together in the February mixer. "The February Kahoot game was very fun this time around," Nguyen said.
NTLB February Mixer Returns
A Tourist At Home: Meerab Arif takes photos of Franzi Desai, Iqra Naveed, Sarah Tahtouh, and Tanisha Patel. They dressed up as tourists for 'Dress Up As A Tourist' Tuesday. "It's fun dressing up, so I'm trying to do it throughout the week," Arif said.
Desi Club Hosts Dress Up Week
Strength in Struggles: Motivational speaker Tory Gant speaks on stage. He presented making healthy life choices. "Make choices you want to look like," Grant said.
Sophomores Attend YES Presentation
Staying Updated: Officers present upcoming events with important information. They used four different QR codes that seniors can scan to fill out and sign-up. "It is mandatory that you sign-up for Remind," Isabella Le said.
Senior Officers Discuss Events
Heart In Hand: Jenny Tran, Jessica Nguyen, and Kamie Le make heart crystals. The hearts were made out of borax and members were allowed to keep them if they wanted to. "Making the crystals felt like I was back in elementary doing simple experiments," Le said.
