Progressing For Impressing: Cadre members sing along with music director, Mr. Yeakley. They are going over the first music piece of the play, Into the Woods, which is 14 minutes long. Cadre actor and costume crew member Olivia Nguyen says, “Mr. Yeakley has been such a fun and uplifting addition to our Cadre family. He always knows how to crack a joke and provide help when needed.”

With auditions for the play, Into the Woods, being over last week, actors and crews have been officially picked out. As this play has many musical scenes, Julie Ryan, director of Cadre, reached out to music director, Mr. Yeakley. Since Mr. Yeakley has theater experience and is a professional opera singer, she contacted him in the hopes that he could assist with those scenes. He now works with Cadre on Mondays and Fridays where they will be going over the beginning piece of music which is 14 minutes long. 

Additionally, actors have performed table talk on Monday, August 21, and plan to perform it again on Friday, August 25. In table talk, actors analyze the play’s script to understand what is happening and the purpose of each character in the scenes. The crews in this play are also reading the script at this time in an effort to get to know one another and make notes on what they will require when they decide to put this play together.
