Sports injure me and infuriates my mom, but they are something I really like, especially basketball. Basketball is one of my favorite sports. I play basketball everyday during lunch”, explains Mirza expressing his love for sports.

Q. What’s the biggest challenge you have faced, and how has it changed you?

A. Biggest challenge I faced was making friends, freshmen year I was anti-social, and making new friends was really hard for me. I felt like I couldn’t fit in which made my transition from middle school to high school tough.

Q. Why did you become an officer for MSA and Kerr Desi Club?

A. One to get out of my shell and two because I wanted to represent who I am, a desi Muslim boy. I think meeting people similar to me was definitely why I wanted to be an officer of the Desi Club and MSA.

Q. What is your favorite childhood memory?

A. There’s a lot, but if I were to choose one I’d say being named best cricket player and soccer player for the teams I played when I was younger.

Q. What is your most unique hobby?

A. I love cleaning I find it so relaxing and soothing. It is my most unique hobby.

Q. What’s the one thing you would change about yourself?

A. Honestly, I feel like I have changed a lot in a good way. Though I know I can improve myself in many aspects, I believe as of right now I do not think I need to change. I am happy the way I am.

Q. What’s the worst phase of your life?

A. I’d say the middle school phase because I was rebellious and surrounded by bad influences, which made sense because I went to O’Donnell. I think O’Donnell has an image for itself already, but the school’s image really impacted mine as well.

Q. Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert?

A. I’d say borderline extrovert because I am confident but not as confident as others. I love to talk to people and socialize but I can’t always do that with everyone.

Q. What is your favorite way to relax?

A. Cleaning, sleeping, and playing basketball. For me, those help me with stress but they are also fun to do.

Q. Are you passionate about anything, or are you a realist?

A. I am pretty much a realist, I accept things the way they are.

Q. Does your car have a name?

A. Yes, I call my car Agha Junior.
