Is He Dead? Is about a young painter name Millet who seeks to pay off his debts to picture-dealer, Andre. Throughout this play, Millet is in love with a girl name Marie, however in order to gain fortune and fame, Millet reasons that he should fake his own death. Faking his own death, Millet increases the value of his paintings as he struggles to secure his love for Marie.
