Speech and Debate team get sweepstakes

November 12, 2015

The speech and debate team earned sweepstakes at the South Houston tournament last weekend. The speech and debate team has won sweepstakes five times in a row.

Special congratulations to Azra Mirza for qualifying for the state competition in Oratory and Rem Aitbouchireb and Christina Tahtouh for qualifying in duo.

Following hard sectional training, the band gathered for a full ensemble session, where they improved their synchronization and togetherness as a whole. Getting that time to work together as a whole really helps us bond and perform at our best, Raiyyan Khan said.

Voices of Alief Hosted a Meeting
Sip and Type Erica Carranza, Sarah Abi Saab, Abigail Nguyen, and Leah Ghebrelul meet up at Kims Tea House afterschool on Tuesday to prepare for a mock round on Thursday. During their time there, they researched the impacts of AI on disinformation. Im not the biggest fan of this motion, but Im still excited, Nguyen said.
