Speech and Debate hosts a tournament

January 22, 2015

The Speech and Debate team will be hosting a tournament Saturday, January 24 at Kerr High School.

Any students interested in volunteering for the tournament should sign up online and attend the informational meeting on Thursday, January 22 after school in the Speech and Debate room. Any adult volunteers interested in judging can attend the Judging Workshop on Friday, January 23 from 2:30 – 3:30 or from 5:00 – 6:00.

Volunteer hours will be awarded for those who help out with the tournament.

Following hard sectional training, the band gathered for a full ensemble session, where they improved their synchronization and togetherness as a whole. Getting that time to work together as a whole really helps us bond and perform at our best, Raiyyan Khan said.

Voices of Alief Hosted a Meeting
Sip and Type Erica Carranza, Sarah Abi Saab, Abigail Nguyen, and Leah Ghebrelul meet up at Kims Tea House afterschool on Tuesday to prepare for a mock round on Thursday. During their time there, they researched the impacts of AI on disinformation. Im not the biggest fan of this motion, but Im still excited, Nguyen said.
