Tie between three teams in group A

October 9, 2014

There were supposed to be two teams eliminated from each group, however, in Group A there is a three way tie between Anonymous 2, Spit Game Crazy, and Chess Club.

On Thursday, October 9, there will be tiebreakers before the playoff games begin. After the tie has been broken, the dodgeball tournament will resume its regular schedule.

FBLA Registration Opens
JOIN THE FUN Kerr Band will be hosting Splash Day, with many water games. Students will be required to turn in their medical release form in order to participate. “Tickets start at $5 for wristbands and $5 for 7 tickets,” stated the Kerr High School Band Instagram page. “Day of prices are $7 for a wristband and $1 per ticket.”
Administration Prepares for Engaging Activities
From Chaos Comes Clarity: Actors Camilla Haro, Andrew Gonzalez, and Julianna Irizarry rehearse Act Two of Into the Woods. They go over their scenes multiple times as they make tiny mistakes that they are trying to perfect before moving on. Senior secretary and actress Julianna Irizarry says, “The blocking process has been very chaotic but overall I’m having a lot of fun.”
Cadre Blocks Act Two of 'Into The Woods’
Speed Running It: Director Ryan, Junior Camilla Haro, and Sophomore Georgio Tahtouh go over the blocking of a specific scene. They are trying to clarify the blocking of a scene Haro and Tahouh are featuring in before all cadre actors attempt a group dance. “In theatre, to know where we need to stand on the stage, we do this thing called blocking. However, in dire times, we have to speed run them when we need more clarification,” said Sophomore actor and technician Gerogio Tahtouh.
Cadre Busts Out Moves
Game Faces On Leah Ghebrelul, Sophia Ghebrelul, Lourine Mokoro, Alan Parra, David Loud, Evan Pham, and Marlin Cueva Morales play a celebratory spoons game after team LASER’s victory in the final round. During the last debate against Alief Early, to a vote of 3 to 0, the judges favored the opposition side of the house. “It was cool that we did so well because we only started prepping an hour before round,” says LASER teammate Leah Ghebrelul.
