Speech & Debate ranks within Top 5; six win

Speech & Debate competed against 46 schools during the Seven Lakes tournament and ranked within the Top 5 for Sweepstakes, an award presented to the high school with the highest winning percentage.

Junior Jun Tan placed first in Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking and eighth in Congress Debate.

Seniors Jamarcus Lacy and Krystal Uchem placed fifth in Duo Interpretation. In addition, Lacy participated in Dramatic Interpretation and placed seventh.

Senior Blessing Falade placed third in Poetry while sophomore Jannette Nguyen and freshman Amanda Paz placed third and eighth, respectively, in Prose.

For Humorous Interpretation, senior Alex Vinh placed third.
