STUCO meets on Feb. 7

February 3, 2014

Student Council will have a general meeting on Friday, February , after school in the cafeteria. The meeting will begin at 2:30 PM and end at 4:00 PM.

This meeting will replace the last one, which was canceled due to inclement weather.

All students are welcomed and encouraged to attend. The meeting will discuss the upcoming teacher’s breakfast, volunteer events, and energy and environmental awareness.

Prom Season. Senior class officers send out Instagram post for prom information. Out of district guests are allowed to attend this year. "All guests must complete the guest form, available in the schoology group," officer Meerab Arif said.

Taped With No Escape: Junior Lance Hernandez speaks with publication cadre members Judah Oluwasegun, Khajornsak Tu, and Rachel Draper about rescheduling Tape-A-Teacher. She informs them that they will need to focus on Matilda now instead of the event. “We plan to move Tape A Teacher, so it can be with Food Frenzy,” Hernandez said.

New Year, New Events: Officers Manar Al-Gburi, Jenny Nguyen, and Regina Tan announce their upcoming Houston Food Bank volunteer opportunity. This will be their first Houston Food Bank trip this year. "Although the game night got canceled, I am super excited for our trip and making more of an impact this semester," president Manar Al-Gburi said.
SFH Hosts General Meeting
A Wonderful Start: NHS Officers kick off their first meeting of the new semester in the foreign language center. They presented multiple upcoming volunteering opportunities for members. "If you are interested, feel free to sign up," Muhammad Annas said.
