Alief to present district musical: Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast, a classic fairy-tale, is a combined effort of various students from Elsik, Hastings, Kerr, and Taylor High School.

Showings will be at Taylor High School Theatre on Wednesday, October 30, at 7:00 PM, and Saturday, November 2, at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

Tickets are $7 from any Cadre Kerr member and $10 at the door.

A Successful Rehearsal: NHS inductees practiced for their upcoming induction ceremony after school in the cafeteria. They were provided with markers to represent the candles. "I can't wait for the induction ceremony," Olivia Nguyen said.

Rooted in Giving: Harris County Commissioner Lesley Briones along with others held a ceremony to recognize the Alief Super Neighborhood Council and Barbara Quattro. Their projects had helped improve the environment. "We are grateful for you," Briones said.

Welcomed With Open Arms: Treasurer Beyonce Vallecillo and Secretary Rebecca Oyeniyi pin Junior David Tran. Oyeniyi hands Tran his acceptance envelope while Vallecillo pins him with the club's colored ribbons. "It was kind of awkward," Oyeniyi said.
