Culture Shaper’s banquet will be held in Shirley Acres on December 8. Kerr High School Senior Amy Mai has been placed in the top 10 for Electronic Media. The awards for winning the competition are still unknown. Mai can win anything from $250 to $5,000.
Culture Shaper Visual Arts Event has six different categories, which includes Electronic Media, Photography, Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media and Sculpture.
“We won’t know until we go to the banquet,” art teacher Janine Hughes said of Mai’s award.
