Junior Sumaiya Asif is the winner of the Houston Affiliate award in Computer Aspirations from the National Center for Women Information Technology.
The award ceremony will be held on March 6, where Asif will receive $500, a laptop, and a plaque for her accomplishment as well as for the school.
“I was really excited when I found out, I have never won anything in my life, not even a raffle,” Asif said.
