Houston Food Bank is collecting donations for its annual Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive.
Every year, HEB, Kroger and Randall’s collaborate with local radio and television stations like the Houston Chronicle and Houston Texas to fight hunger in the community. Grocery shoppers buy prepackaged bags of groceries and donate to the red barrel or donate cash during checkout. Local pantries receive these donations.
This is a unique opportunity for students to volunteer for two hours at a local Kroger or HEB store.
Students can check the available spots at local HEB and Kroger’s on Saturday, February 2 or Sunday, Feb. 3, by visiting the website www.souperbowl.org/hubs/houstontx.
