The Kerr Speech and Debate team attended two tournaments in September, at Elsik High School and then Cypress Woods High School a week later. The team received many individual awards and top place in sweepstakes at Elsik, including state points which contribute towards progress to the TFA state competition.
At Cypress Woods, Kerr competitors continued earning awards, and Krystal Uchem (11), Alex Vinh (11), Tam Tran (11), and Beverly Umeh (12)* also received two bids to attend the National Individual Events Tournament Of Champions, held later next year.
