Curbside pickup offered by library

Because of the recent coronavirus pandemic, the library is now offering a curbside pickup for students who wish to check out a book.

“Students can check-in and out books by picking them up without getting out of their cars,” librarian Paula Murray said. “Using the Destiny Discover app students can reserve a book. And from 1:30-2:30 on Thursdays and Fridays, students can come pick up their books at the front drive-through.”

The curbside pickup was first launched on August 26 with the goal of providing students with any reading necessities they might not normally have been able to access otherwise.

“We want to meet the needs of all students during the pandemic and this includes virtual learners,” Murray said.  “We have had several students participate in curbside pick-up including dual credit students picking up textbooks they will need for their courses.”
