Librarian Jean Wu missed the first day of school at Kerr this year for the first time in the school’s history.
On July 19, Wu fell near the Math Center, breaking both of her wrists. The injuries kept her at home for 10 weeks.
On October 4, Wu returned to work. Since the accident, she said, she has looked forward to coming back.
“I’m one of the happiest persons in the world today,” said Wu. “For the last eight weeks, every day, I look for the sunrise because I thought, ‘That’s one day closer to when I can go back to work’!”
In celebration of her return, students have created a banner that is in the library and is open to all students and faculty to sign.
