Reaching Out
Class Officer candidates create Instagram posts the week before elections to gain votes. With many students running this year, elections have been very competitive. “Keep pushing forward, even if it takes one, two, or three attempts,” junior candidate Sean McClain said. “That way, even if you’ve lost, you can take pride in knowing you truly gave it your all.”
On April 9, all officer elections will occur for all grade levels during A and B lunches in the cafeteria. Each student may vote for up to five candidates. Selecting more will invalidate the ballot. A physical student ID is required to vote, but temporary IDs are not accepted. In preparation for the election, many candidates have campaigned on social media through platforms such as Instagram to share their ideas and hopes for the next school year.
