Yearbook Hosts Annual Alphabet Auction

Pie flies, teacher cries: Esai Alvear Moreno pies Band Director Nikola Nikolovski. In between the alphabet auction, students had a chance to pie one of the teachers. “We just wanted to have some fun, and it felt gratifying to pie him,” Moreno said.

Yearbook hosted their annual alphabet auction in the cafeteria on Friday, January 31 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Students were able to  bid on a letter for the yearbook and then decorate the section. Students followed a special event schedule, with second advisory starting at 1:05 PM. Class of 2025 hosted pie in the face in between letters. Students who purchased a ticket had the chance to pie a teacher, if their ticket was drawn.

Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy Prepares for Service Project
Keeping Things in Check: Volunteers Nhi Le and Phat Luong sit outside of the gym. They make sure that donors sign in and fill out the questionnaire beforing entering. "It was fun volunteering," Le said.
NHS Hosts Annual Blood Drive
A Perfect Performance: Meerab Arif and Georgio Tahtouh host before each performance. They ask questions about different cultures and provide information about the next performance. "I wanted to give people a space where they feel seen, and that's exactly what the multicultural dance show is about," Arif said.
Desi Club Hosts Multicultural Dance Show
Dat Nguyen, Haniyah Lutfi, and Alan Parra pose with their first, second, and third place trophies at City Qualifiers. All of these debaters were competing in varsity congress. "For my city qualifiers tournament, I found it very fun and unique from others. I think that CASE tournaments allowed for all the congressional debaters to bond with eachother, and so rather than feeling you did bad after rounds, you felt like you had a group supporting your back! Overall it was very fun," Nguyen said.
