Sponsor Karen Orta and officers from Students for Humanity joined Harris County Commissioner Lesley Briones from Precinct 4 along with many others for a ceremony on Wednesday, January 29. The ceremony recognized the hard work of Alief Super Neighborhood Council and the projects Barbara Quattro has made in planting trees and better sustaining the environment. In recognition of her work, a forest trail sign was installed at the intersection of Beechnut St. and Howell Sugarland Rd. Harris County Precinct 4 is also investing $2 million in the Alief Linear Forest program to continue more tree plantings to improve the area and neighborhood safety.
