Pals returned to Miller Intermediate on Wednesday, November 20. The group participated in a Simon Says-style game led by the counselor, featuring unique commands like forming a “star” on the ground, doing military things like saluting or putting your hand behind your back, and forming a circle with three people. Participants were encouraged to work together, with some mentors sacrificing their chances of supporting their mentees. Though only one team won, the counselor recognized multiple groups for their sacrifices. The session concluded with mentors escorting their mentees to class and discussing plans for upcoming meetings, which will resume in January due to no more early dismissals on Wednesdays.
