Democracy in Action: Harris County Precinct 4 representatives pass out voter registration forms to seniors who are eligible. Students must be a U.S. citizen and at least 17 years and 10 months old. “It’s so great to see students being so civically engaged,” Miracle Bui, a representative from Precinct 4 said.
On September 10th, Harris County Precinct 4 (HCP4) visited and give a presentation to the senior class. The presenters went over what the area of Harris County is, who our commissioner is, what she does, and how the precinct works to improve and maintain our infrastructure. They also gave out resources for upcoming HCP4 events, contact information to report issues within the community, and more. At the end of the presentation, the presenters passed out voter registration forms to students who met the criteria to register and encouraged seniors to vote and practice their civic rights.
