Fine Arts Banquet money due soon!

March 3, 2011

Students who plan to attend the Fine Arts Banquet in May need to turn in $28 for a ticket by March 4.

The money is expected to be turned in to the individual club sponsors and any submissions of the money will not be accepted after its due date. The banquet itself will take place on May 13, at the Westchase Hilton Hotel and start at 7 PM.

The cafeteria was cleared out, and the tables were arranged in a “U” shape to create a space for everyone to socialize. “It was a bit difficult setting everything up during fourth period, but we managed to finish in time,” Desi Club president Meerab Arif said.

Alief Hosts Horus Scholars Event
Tracking Volunteer Contributions: Members review their tutoring documentation during the November 13th advisory meeting. The club discussed upcoming competitions, including the Texas Math League and Mu Alpha Theta, while reinforcing the importance of mentoring and volunteer hours. Members are required to log weekly tutoring sessions to maintain active status in the club. “This helps us track our hours and stay committed," Princess Eche said.

Perfecting the Notes: Clarinet players Ifetayo Taiwo and Taylor Nguyen practice ahead of their Honor Band auditions. They dedicated hours of preparation on their clarinet pieces to ensure their performances stood out. “It’s an intense process, but I think it’s worth it to make it,” Taiwo said.
