Wrapping the Room with Christmas Spirit

Band Students transform the room into a cheerful holiday symphony, wrapping up gifts and decorating the rooms. “We love to do what we can to lift up our spirits.” – Viet La

The band filled the room with upbeat music, making everyone feel festive. The students wanted to make the place look Christmassy after the music, but they kept it simple. They wrapped everything in colorful wrapping paper, ribbons, and ornaments. They laughed and enjoyed wrapping different-sized presents around walls and instruments. The room was transformed into a cheerful, gift-filled space with twinkling lights, creating a cozy and unique Christmas vibe that matched the band’s joyful spirit.

The cafeteria was cleared out, and the tables were arranged in a “U” shape to create a space for everyone to socialize. “It was a bit difficult setting everything up during fourth period, but we managed to finish in time,” Desi Club president Meerab Arif said.

Alief Hosts Horus Scholars Event
Tracking Volunteer Contributions: Members review their tutoring documentation during the November 13th advisory meeting. The club discussed upcoming competitions, including the Texas Math League and Mu Alpha Theta, while reinforcing the importance of mentoring and volunteer hours. Members are required to log weekly tutoring sessions to maintain active status in the club. “This helps us track our hours and stay committed," Princess Eche said.
Math Club Prepares for Competitions
Perfecting the Notes: Clarinet players Ifetayo Taiwo and Taylor Nguyen practice ahead of their Honor Band auditions. They dedicated hours of preparation on their clarinet pieces to ensure their performances stood out. “It’s an intense process, but I think it’s worth it to make it,” Taiwo said.
