Speech and Debate gathered in room 523 August 28 and held their first general meeting. During this meeting, members officially decided the events they were interested in pursuing throughout the school year. Different events were separated into a series of seminar rooms, where students selected which event they wanted to learn about. By the end of the meeting, all members had a better idea of what they would soon compete in, seeing as the first competition will be held on September 8 and 9 at Dobie High School.
With the influx of new students joining the club, Speech and Debate surely has its hands full.
