UIL Is Wrapping Up
Summer Cleaning Is On: UIL members tide up costume rooms, cleaning everything out. They are finishing everything up and getting ready for the summer, so all members who are free are helping out. Junior costume member Jackielou Bolanos said, “It’s kind of sad cleaning everything out, but it’s good that the summer is coming. Now, we can catch a break and focus on ourselves, so next year we come back replenished and full of new ideas.”
This week, UIL will be striking, cleaning up everything they had put together for this last show, Smile Nd Nod. They will focus on cleaning the dressing rooms, costume room, set shop, and prop shop. They are also starting their end-of-the-year project while the officers have a workshop where they pass on their knowledge in something they are confident into a younger classmate. The workshops will include: learning Photoshop, doing monologues, learning how to apply makeup, learning to make costume designs, painting a mural, controlling sound cues from a phone, and learning to create photo-edited videos.
