Although not as extreme as the Hunger Games, the FBLA officer elections can feel a little similar. Standing in front of the Hunger Games logo, officer candidate Luis Renteria gives his campaign speech. FBLA members voted on the next school year’s officers at the meeting on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Renteria said, “I feel a variety of emotions, however, I am definitely anxious for the speech and the results.”

This week, FBLA officer candidates have been busy preparing for the election. Current officers have been conducting interviews with candidates to get a better understanding of their qualifications. On Thursday, April 27, 2023, FBLA held their election meeting where each candidate gave a campaign speech. Members of the club were able to vote for three candidates of their choice afterward. The elected officers for the 2023-2024 school year will be announced at the banquet on Tuesday, May 9.
