10 Questions with Kalee Nguyen

Time to Eat: Junior Kalee Nguyen eating lunch with her friends. She was waiting for everyone at her table to get their lunch. “I was at lunch, using my phone,” Nguyen said. “Probably going on Twitter or something.”

Kalee Nguyen is currently attending Kerr High School. She is a junior. 

Question: What is something you enjoy doing?

Answer: I like reading books, and, outside of school, I practice ballet. 

Q: Who do you look up to the most?

A: My mom. She is genuinely one of the kindest people I know.

Q: What would you change if you had the chance to go back in time?

A: I would probably talk to more people and ask for help. Save me the trouble of trying things by myself. 

Q: If you could live anywhere, where would it be? 

A: Probably somewhere in Europe or Canada. Somewhere with free health care. 

Q: If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you’ll do? 

A: Pay for college probably.

Q: How has going to Kerr impacted your life? 

A: It pushed me to take my work more seriously, and I was able to meet some amazing people here. 

Q: What would you like to improve on? 

A: My writing and communication skills.

Q: What is your favorite memory as a child?

A: Dancing in the finale for a dance recital when I was in the third grade. It was when I fell in love with dancing on the stage. 

Q: What motivates you to work hard?

A: Trying to find a purpose in life. 

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment? 

A: Being cast as Clara in my studio’s version of the Nutcracker.
