MSA Set Up Ramadan Wall
Arendra Kuswanto discusses with Nhi Pham what the holy month of Ramadan is and its impact on Muslims around the world. MSA plans on hosting a picnic for everyone after Ramadan to explain the importance of Ramadan. The picnic will be on April 24 from 2:30-4:15 p.m. It will be in the English center and food will be available to everyone. “I feel like a lot of people know about Ramadan and the way that we fast for 30 days. It’s important for us to discuss its importance and clear any misconceptions that people may have about Ramadan so I feel like this picnic will help us do that,” Kuswanto said.
Muslim Students’ Association will be hosting a meeting next Tuesday, April 11 from 2:30-4:15 p.m. MSA plans to decorate the social studies hallway with Ramadan decorations. Decorations include different posters and lights that will be hung on the ceiling. Also, MSA will discuss plans to host a picnic after Ramadan rather than having an Iftaar night which was initially planned before. The picnic will be from 2:30-4:30 p.m. and will be an earlier event than the Iftaar night which was from 6-8 p.m.
