Julio Martinez, a special agent, visits Kerr High School to briefly share what working for the State Department is like. He is here “for a mission of exposure.”

Special Agent Julio Martinez visited Kerr Jan. 17 to share information and scholarship opportunities regarding the U.S. Department of State. He opens up with what federal agents do: protecting, saving, and investigating lives. There are many benefits when working with the State Department: medical aid, education aid, guarantees of jobs, networking programs, mentorships, etc. Martinez shares that working with the State Department is “a lifestyle that has a lot of variety and change.” He believes that the most rewarding part of his job is being able to help people and seeing the change.
